A chart is a graphical representation of data, in which "the data is represented by symbols, such as bars in a bar chart, lines in a line chart, or slices in a pie chart". A chart can represent tabular numeric data, functions or some kinds of quality structure and provides different info.

Chart Elements:

• The title is a text box you can place anywhere on the chart.
• The plot is the area on the chart that displays the data in the chart type you choose.
• A data point is one piece of data appearing on the chart.
• A chart's legend shows what kind of data is represented in the chart.
• Series are sets of related data.
