Chloroform is a compound having molecular formula CHCl3.

It's colourless liquid with a strong smell used by doctors.

This is used for industrial purposes. Chloroform is also used to extract and purify penicillin.

Chloroform is stored in coloured bottles completely filled.

If we breath about 900 parts of chloroform per million parts of air for just a small time, then we may suffer from headache and dizziness.

Chloroform also kill us when  if we get the dose right.

James Young Simpson invented chlorofo on himself on 4th November 1847.

Chloroform is also known as for trichloromethane.
