Chromatography is a simple technique through which mixtures gets separated into its components. The mixture to be separated is placed in the filter paper, and with the help of the solvents used in it, components get separated. Two applications: Scientists use this chromatography technique for their analysis purposes

Chromatography is the separation of colored chemicals . It works because some components of mixture are more soluble than others .

This method analyzes the substances in a mixture .

Dyes and inks are mixed to make the colours of food , clothes and pens . We can use this method to find if the colour in the ink of a pen is a pure dye or a mixture of a dyes .

 \leadsto {\boxed{ \sf {\orange {Paper \: Chromatography: }}}}

In paper chromatography special paper is used to separate the coloured components in a mixture . Chromatography only works for soluble dyes , like in food and pen , not the dyes in clothes . The most soluble dyes moves fastily through filter paper than less soluble dyes .
