Chromosomes-It contains information for inheritance of features from one generation to other generations in the form of DNA.
Chromatin-In a non-dividing cell, DNA is present as chromatin material. It is visible as entangled mass of thread like structure.

Chromosomes : 
A Chromosome is a packaged and organised structure containing most of the DNA of a living organism . It isn't usually found  its own , but rather is structured by being wrapped around protein complexes called nucleosomes   , which consist of proteins called histones . 

Chromatin :
the readily stainable substance of a cell nucleus, consisting of DNA, RNA, and various proteins, that forms chromosomes during cell division.
