The three types of combustion are:-
1) Spontaneous Combustion
In this kind of reaction, the mere contact of the substance with oxygen triggers instantaneous oxidation. Ex:- Sodium metal kept in air undergoes spontaneous combustion and ignites.
2) Rapid Combustion
In this reaction, a substance burns in the presence of oxygen to release heat and light. Ex:- burning of a match stick
3) Slow Combustion
Here, the oxidation process is slow and prolonged. Ex:- rusting of iron
