COMPOUNDS:-

  • The substance which are formed by mixing of two or more elements in definite proportion by weight are known as compounds
  • compounds are of two types:-

1》organic:-

compounds which are extracted by animal and plants commonly known as organic compounds.

2》inorganic:-

compounds which are extracted by earth crust are known as inorganic compounds.

MIXTURES:-

  • substances which are formed by mixing of two or more compounds in any proportion by weight are known as mixtures.
  • these are of two types :-

1 homogenous :-

in this solute and solvent are completely mixed with each other.

2》 heterogeneous-

mixture which has more than one face that means we can separate the two or three phases with each other.

Mixtures In Chemistry:-

⦁ The substance which contain more thaan two atoms together is commonly known as Mixtures.

Mixtures are classified into two types:-

1) Homogenous,

2) Heterogeneous.

⦁ Mixtures can be of any matter also these can be mixed together, Matter in chemistry are as follows.

1) Solid,

2) Liquid,

3) Gaseous.

Homogenous mixture:-

⦁ In this type the components of mixtures are uniformly distributed.

Heterogeneous mixture:-

⦁ In this type the components of mixtures are non-uniformly distributed.

Point to remember:-

⦁ If some components are dissolved in water then we can find that this is homogenous or heterogeneous mixture.

Example:-

1) Homogenous mixture: Sodium chloride.

2) Heterogeneous mixture: Sugar.
