Computer is an electronic device for storing and processing data, typically in binary form, according to instructions given to it in a variable program. Mainly computer system consists of three parts, that are central processing unit (CPU), Input Devices, and Output Devices.

Examples of input devices include:

• keyboards provided for performing additional functions.
• mouse can be used to control the position of the cursor on the screen, but it cannot be used to enter text into the computer.
• scanners captures images from the source which are then converted into a digital form that can be stored on the disk. These images can be edited before they are printed.

Monitors and printers are two of the most commonly used output devices used with a computer.

RAM stands for random access memory is volatile memory that temporarily stores the files you are working on. ROM stands for read only memory is non-volatile memory that permanently stores instructions for your computer.

A metropolitan area network (MAN) is a network that interconnects users with computer resources in a geographic area.
