It does not matter in the least what personal environmental mission statement I make regarding the enhancement of living responsibly in the environment I personally occupy, if everyone else decides to ignore the environment, saving resources and their money
1. I can and do recycle all of the recycling waste by segregating what is currently collected and recycled into sustainable waste.
But that does not prevent most manufacturers packaging their products which are purchased in disproportionately higher levels of plastics instead of waxed cardboard, glass, aluminium and paper.
2. I use a water economical, pyramid stack, swill and nylon bristle brush method of washing up in hot followed by cold tap water rinse with vertical air drying on the kitchen sink draining board instead of using a dishwashing machine that uses both electricity and more water to operate.
3. I can and do wash by hand and rinse in the kitchen sink all of my dirty clothes, towels and bed linen fabrics which washes much cleaner because all stains are completely removed when you can inspect the washed and rinsed fabrics after soak wash.
4. I can and do travel everywhere within 5 miles of my residence using an e-bicycle for meeting appointments, shopping and exercise, neither using the bus, taxi or a hire car (unless I exceed a 5 mile radius of my residence).
