Conductors

Those substances through which electric charges cam flow, are called conductors.

  • For example :- All the metals are conductors . Iron, Silver, Copper, Aluminium, etc are conductors.

Insulators

Those substances through which electric charges can't flow, are called insulators.

  • For example :- Glass,ebonite,rubber,plastics,etc are insulators.

Semi-conductors

Those substances whose conductivity lies in between the conductors and insulators are called semiconductors.

  • For example :- Silicon, Germanium,etc are semi conductors
