Continental slope is the transition zone between the "continental shelf" and "deep sea plain" in the ocean.

Explanation:

Ocean surfaces have several landforms such as continental shelf, continental slope, deep sea plain, trenches and so on. Continental slope constitutes nearly 8% of the landform in the total ocean surface. Deep sea plain constitute the major portion of the ocean surface. It occurred in the edge of the "continental shelf" and it is characterized by 2 to 5 degree of gradient slope and mud flow often occurs in the slope.
