Copulation is an even more scientific way of saying "sexual intercourse." You can use this word to describe the sexual practices of both humans and animals. Zoologists need to make sure there is copulation among endangered animals such as pandas. Stray animals like cats engage in a lot of copulation, which is why there are so many cats. If your female dog is not fixed and copulates at the park, you might have puppies on the way soon

It occurs due to muscle movements in the male reproductive system.

  Sperm or

spermatozoa are produced in the testes and stored there. This process is called

spermatogenesis. They are released from testes during ejaculation. The hormone

Testosterone (androgen) is responsible for production of sperm.

The corpus spongiosum is the tube like structure

that contains the urethra.  Urethra tube

is the passage for both urine and semen. The sperm moves from testes into the

ductus deferens. Then into pelvic cavity. Then they move into the prostate over

the ureter. Then sperms move into urethra through the vas deferens and forced

out of urethra by ejaculation.

That sperm ejaculation action is stimulated by

sympathetic nerves. The peristalsis muscle movements help sperm move forward. The contraction in muscles forces sperm to propel forward with force and speed.
