Decomposition Reaction :- It is the type of reaction in which a single reactant break down in two or more simpler products by the agency of heat,light and electrical energy.

There are three types of decomposition reaction :-

1) Thermal decomposition :- By the agency of heat .

2) Electrical decomposition :- By the agency of current.

3) Photo decomposition reaction :- By the agency of light.

Ex:- ⭐2KClO3(s) --> 2KCl (s) + 3O2(g)

⭐2 H2O → 2 H2 + O2
