Answer:
A convex lens is also known as a converging lens. A converging lens is a lens that converges rays of light that are traveling parallel to its principal axis. They can be identified by their shape which is relatively thick across the middle and thin at the upper and lower edges.

It is as follows:
- Convex lens are the type of lens which has two spherical surfaces which are puffed up outwards.
- When, light rays comes parallel to the principle axis of the Convex lens after it's refraction lens passes through the focus.
- Hence, focus converges all the rays at the one point & can be termed as Converging Lens.
- A Concave lens is type of lens which posses to have a one surface which is curved inwards.
- It is called as Diverging lens. Because, light rays get refracted when they pass through it.
- Concave lens are used for diseases such as Short - sightedness (Myopia).
