Define democracy and give it's features.
It is a form of government in which citizens have right to choose their representatives and final decision making power resides with those who are elected by the citizens of the country.
Abraham Lincoln defined democracy as a government By the people, Of the people and For the people.
◾ Citizens have right to vote and can choose their representatives.
◾ The constitution is considered as the supreme power of the country.
◾ There should not be censorship on media.
◾ Judiciary must be free from the other two institutions.
◾ There are some fundamental right granted to every citizen equally by the constitution.
◾ There are some rules and regulations mentioned in the constitution, that everyone have to follow.
