1. The density of a substance is defined as mass of the substance per unit     volume.

Density of substance = \frac{mass of substance}{volume of substance}

   SI unit of density is kg/m³

2. Relative density of a substance is the ratio of its density to that of water.

Relative density of substance =  \frac{Density of substance}{Density of water}

  Relative density of a substance is the ratio of its density to that of water.

3. Density of turpentine = 840kg/m³

   Density of water = 1000kg/m³

   Relative density of substance = \frac{1000}{840} =0.84

hope this helps u!!
