An independent event is an event that has no connection to another event's chances of happening (or not happening). In other words, the event has no effect on the probability of another event occurring. ... When two eventsare independent, one event does not influence the probability of anotherevent.

The outcome of choosing the first card has affected the outcome of choosing the second card, making these events dependent. Definition: Two events are dependent if the outcome or occurrence of the first affects the outcome or occurrence of the second so that the probability is changed.

• Dependent Event: If the occurrence of an event is affected by occurrence or non-occurrence of another event, then such event is said to be dependent event.

• If the occurrence of an event B is dependent on occurrence of event A, then

                                     $P(\frac{B}{A})\neq P(B)$

• Independent Event: If the occurrence of an event is unaffected by occurrence or non-occurrence of another event, then such event is said to be independent event.

• If the occurrence of an event B is independent on occurrence of event A, then

                                      $P(\frac{B}{A})=P(B)$
