Basically ,there are four different kinds of sentence

Kinds of sentence

1.Assertive or Declarative

Those which simply afferm or deny something are called assertive or declarative sentence .They provide information and end with full stop and assertive sentence may be positive or negative.

Positive:

A positive sentence does not certain negative word and it afferm something.

Example:-You are very good boy.

Negative:

A negative sentence contain a negative word and it denies something, negative word like not or no.

Example:-She may not come.

2.Interrogative:

A sentence which is used for asking a question.it ends with question mark.

Example:-What is your name?

3.Imperative:

A sentence in which contains some request command advice or order are called imperative sentence .the subject is hidden in this kinds of sentence. it ends with a full stop.

Example:-

For request: please give me a cup of tea.

For order:Do your work.

For command:Stand up.

4.Exclamatory:

A sentence in which contain some surprise or emotion are called exclamatory sentence. An exclamation point is placed at the end of such sentences.

Example:-How beautiful this city is!
