Dear Student,

◆ Dimensions -

  • Dimensions are the power to which fundamental units are raised in order to obtain the unit of that physical quantity.

For example,

  • Dimensions of velocity = [L¹T⁻¹]
  • Dimensions of density = [M¹L⁻³]

◆ Dimensional equation -

  • Dimensional equation is equation that contains physical quantities with their dimensional formula.

For example,

  • [L¹T⁻¹] = [L] ÷ [T]
  • [M¹L⁻³] = [M] ÷ [L³]

Thanks dear. Hope that helps you...
