the powers to which physical quantities are raised to show how much of which quantity is used is called a dimension.

(a)power=work/time

          = (force x displacement)/time

= (mass x acceleration) x displacement/time

= [M] [LT^-2] [L] / [T]

= [ML^2 T^-2] / [T]

=[ML^2 T^-3] , this is the dimension of Power.

(b) pressure=force/ area

= [MLT^-2] / [L^2]

= [ML^-1 T^-2], this is dimension of pressure.

(c) work= force x displacement

=[MLT^-2] [L]

=[ML^2 T^-2] , this is dimension of work

(d) density= mass/volume

=[M] / [L^3]

=[ML^-3] , this is dimension of density.

hope it helps u and clears your doubt...
