Dipole Moment Definition. A dipole moment is a measurement of the separation of two opposite electrical charges. Dipole moments are a vector quantity. The magnitude is equal to the charge multiplied by the distance between the charges and the direction is from negative charge to positive charge: μ = q · r.
hope this will help you

_____________Answer_________

Dipole moment:-

=> Dipole moment is the product of the magnitude of the charge and the distance between the centres of positive (+) and negative (-) charge.

=>Dipole Moment (u)= charge (Q)×distance of separation (r)

=> It is expressed in Or it's C.G.S unit :- Debye (D)

=>S.I unit:- C-M

=> It is vector Quantity and is pointing towards (-ve) end.
