Hi ,
A random variable ' X ' is a Discrete
Random Variable if :
i ) there are a finite number of
possible outcomes of X ,
Or
ii ) there are a countably infinite
number of possible outcomes of X .
** A countably infinite number of
possible outcomes means that there
is a one - to - one correspondence
between the outcomes and the set of
integers .
I hope this helps you.
