a reaction in which a more reactive metal displaces a less reactive metal is called displacement reaction.
eg: 1.Zn+CuSO4---->ZnSO4+Cu
here zinc displaces copper from copper sulphate solution.
2.Pb+CuCl2--->PbCl2+Cu
here lead displaces copper from copper chloride solution
eg: 1.Zn+CuSO4---->ZnSO4+Cu
