Answer:

Divisor Meaning

In division, we divide a number by any other number to get another number as a result. So, the number which is getting divided here is called the dividend. The number which divides a given number is the divisor. And the number which we get as a result is known as the quotient. The divisor which does not divide a number completely produces a number, which is referred to as remainder.

dividend means

A dividend is a distribution of profits by a corporation to its shareholders. When a corporation earns a profit or surplus, it is able to pay a proportion of the profit as a dividend to shareholders.

quotient means

a result obtained by dividing one quantity by another.

remainder means:

the number which is left over in a division in which one quantity does not exactly divide another.
