Double fertilization and triple fusion are two processes involved in the sexual reproductionof angiosperms. Flowers are the reproductive structures found in angiosperms. They contain both male reproductive structures called stamens and female reproductive structures called pistils. Pollen grains are produced by the anthers of the stamens. They are deposited on the stigma of pistils during the process called pollination. After the pollination, pollen grains are germinated, producing a pollen tube, which carries two sperm cells into the embryo sac of the pistils. Once sperm cells reach the ovary, fertilization occurs. The main differencebetween double fertilization and triple fusion is that double fertilization is the fusion of the embryo sac with two sperm cells whereas triple fusion is the fusion of sperm nucleus with the two polar nuclei in the central cell of the embryo sac.

in pollen tube there are 2 male gametes as we know that in embryo sac there are 8 nuclie on chazal end 3 anti podals are present between the cell body 2 polar nuclie and at micropyle end 2 synergids and 1 egg. so the pollen tube enters through micropyle end, first recieved by synergids which directed towards the egg. two male gamete are reproduce by mitosis in which one fuse with egg and the another fuse with 2 polar nuclie to give rise PEN (primary endosperm nucleus). because it fertilize with 3gg and polar nuclie it is called double fertilisation and it fuse with one egg and 2 polar nuclie so called triple fusion
