**DUCTILITY**

The property of elements (mostly metals ) by which it can be drawn into wires is known as DUCTILITY .

Eg : silver , gold , etc

**Catalyst**

The substance which accelerates the rate of a reaction is known as a catalyst .

eg :Vanadium oxide ,Iron oxide ,etc .

Ductility is the ability of the metals to be drawn into wires.
Usually metals possess this property and they can be drawn into thin wires.

Catalyst is a substance which changes the rate of a reaction taking place , either increasing or decreasing the speed of reaction.
But the catalyst is not a part of the reaction.
The best example is photosynthesis , sunlight or chlorophyll is not involved in the reaction but are necessary for the reaction to occur.
