The term echo is used for such sound which goes on repeating after it comes back from a surface. Such repeating sounds are termed as echo.
Following are the conditions for the production of echo -
1. The interval of time between the sound which is original and the reflected must be 0.1 second at least.
2. The least distance of the obstacle or barrier from the source should be 17.2 metres.
