All of the constituents who are registered to vote are called the electorate. In the United Kingdom, a parliamentaryconstituency is sometimes called a Parliamentary seat or a Division.Constituencies for local government elections are called either Wards or electoral divisions.

The Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India, is made up of Members of Parliament (MPs). Each represents a single geographic constituency. There are currently543 constituencies. Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of constituencies(80).
