\huge\mathcal\color{teal} Answer :-

  • Electric cell is a device that converts chemical energy to electrical energy.

  • An Electric Cell comprises of two electrodes and an electrolyte.

  • An electrode in a cell is a small piece of metal or other substance that is used to take an electric current to or from a source of power, a piece of equipment, or a living body.

  • An electrolyte is a substance, usually a liquid, which electricity can pass through.

  • An Electric Cell has Two Terminals - Negative ( -ve ) and Positive ( +ve ).

  • The current passes from the positive terminal of the Cell to the negative terminal of the Cell.

  • When positive terminal of a cell is connected to the negative terminal of another cell, such a combination of two or more cells having unlike terminals connected together is called a battery.

Hope it helps !
