An electric circuit means a closed and continuous path thorium which an electric current flows.

Electric current: Electric current is defined as the rate of charge through a cross-section of a conductor.

Unit of current :

The SI unit of current is called Ampere(A). Current flowing through a conductor is said to be 1 Ampere, if 1 coulomb of charge flows through it in 1 second.

Note:- Electric current flows through a conductor only if there is a potential difference across its ends.
