devil is a pair of equal and opposite charges separated by small distance its SI unit is coulomb metre

guitarist2248: isn't this the definition of an Electric Dipole......? Please correct me if I'm wrong

Answer

Explanation:

Electric Dipole moment is a measure of the strength of an Electric Dipole

or it is better defined as:

Electric Dipole Moment is a Vector whose magnitude is the product of the charge and the distance between the two opposite charges of the Dipole,

and whose direction is along the dipole axis from the negative to the positive charge

i.e; if +q and -q are the two charges separated by a fixed distance 2a thus forming the Dipole, then

It's Dipole Moment is

                 p = q x 2a

SI Unit of Electric Dipole Moment is Coulomb Meter (Cm)

where Coulomb is the unit of Charge and Meter is the Unit of the Distance of Separation between the two Charges
