★ Electric Potential difference:

→ It is defined as the work done per unit charge in moving a unit positive charge from one point to other point.

→ The electric potential difference between two points is said to be 1 volt, if 1 joule of work is done in moving one coulomb of electric charge from one point to other point.

Thus,

1 volt = 1 joule/1 coulomb

= 1 V = 1J / 1C
