Physically :-

Electric Potential is a Condition that determines the direction of flow of Charge.

Electric Potential at a point is the work done in moving a positive unit charge from infinity to that point.

Mathematically :-

Electric \: Potential \:  =  \frac{Work}{Charge}

V =  \frac{W}{Q}

ELECTRIC POTENTIAL IS A SCALAR QUANTITY.

SI UNIT OF ELECTRIC POTENTIAL IS 1 VOLT.

WHEN W = 1 JOULE, Q = 1 COULOMB THEN V = 1 VOLT.

1 \: Volt \:  =  \frac{1Joule}{1 \: Coloumb} \:  \:  Or \:  \: 1V =  \frac{1J}{1C}

EXTRA INFORMATION :-

Potential Difference between two points is the amount of work done in moving a unit positive charge from one point to the other.

Potential \: Difference =  \frac{Work}{Charge}

V =  \frac{W}{Q}

Answer:

HEY MATE...

Electric potential is the amount of work needed to move a unit of charge from a reference point to a specific point inside the field without producing an acceleration.

It's SI unit is Volt...
