electromagnetic waves

it is the energy transmitted from one body to another in the form of radiation . Maxwell noticed that an alternating current of high frequency radiates energy in the forms of waves which travel in space with the same speed as light. these are called electromagnetic waves.

Radiant energy has wave nature and is associated with electric as well as magnetic field . thus these radiations called electromagnetic radiations. the various forms of electromagnetic radiations are cosmic Ray's, radar waves radio waves.

Electromagnetic waves are waves which can travel through the vacuum of outer space.

Electromagnetic radiation is a form of energy that is produced by oscillating electric and magnetic disturbance, or by the movement of electrically charged particles traveling through a vacuum or matter.
