                   Emissive power

The total amount of energy is emitted in an unit area with the respect of an unit time in every possible direction by a body is said to be the emissive power of the body. It is also termed as emittence power of the body.

As similar to the power, emissive power = (total energy/total time taken), that means energy exerted by a body in each unit area in every unit of time.

*It should have to noted that in emissive power the temperature is always constant.

It is the ratio of the power of a body at a given temperature to the power of a black body at that temperature. That means,

Emissivity = the total emissive power of a body/total emissive power of a perfectly black body
