A species which is confined to a particular geographical area is called endemic to that area. Example, Kangaroos to Australia

On the other hand, a species which has been introduced into a geographical area from some other area is called exotic species.

Example, Acacia and Eucalyptus are exotic to India as they have been introduced from Australia.
