In endogenous type of budding, the two daughter cells are produced inside a mother cell. Spongilla shows endogenous budding.
In exogenous type of budding, bud is produced externally on surface.

=>examples- Hydra, yeast etc.
★ endogenous budding- a bud ( gemmule ) develops inside the body of an organism and division takes place forming new individuals.
