Define escape velocity of a satellite. Derive an expression for it.

Escape velocity- The minimum speed with which a body must be projeced, in order it will escape from the Earth gravitational field is called as escape velocity.

Expression of it- The derivation starts with the initial gravitational potential energy at the given altitude and the initial kinetic energy of the object. This total initial energy is then compared with the sum of the potential and the kinetic energies at an infinite separation, in order to determine the escape velocity equation.
