Evaporation is a type of vaporization, that occurs on the surface of a liquid as it changes into the gaseous phase before reaching its boiling point. The surrounding gas must not be saturated with the evaporating substance. .
The factors affecting evaporation are:-
Temperature .
amount of moisture in the air.
amount of liquid present.
Surface area: The rate of evaporation increases with an increase in surface area.
