Excretion :

⇒Excretion is the process of removal of metabolic wastes from the body.

⇒Excretion is the process in which undigested toxic and waste material is thrown out of the body .It can be in the form of sweat,urine etc .

⇒As a result of metabolic process , Waste products are formed and the process of releasing these wastes out of the body called Excretion.

⇒The process of excretion take place after the process of digestion

⇒The solid waste is passed out through the anus in  the form of stool.

Excretory Products :

Ammonia

  • The process of excretion of ammonia called Ammonetelism.
  • Ammonia is highly toxic , so needs more water for getting excreted .
  • Example - Snail , starfish etc.

Ureotelism

  • The process of excretion of urea called Ureotelism
  • In liver , Ammonia is converted into less toxic urea .
  • Urea is less toxic , So require moderate quantity of water for excretion.
  • Example - Human being , Fish etc

Urecotelism

  • The process of excretion of uric acid called Urecotelism.
  • Uric acid is least toxic , so no need of water for excretion .
  • Example - Birds , snakes etc
