Women's emancipation, reproductive rights, domestic abuse, maternity leave, equal pay, women's suffrage, sexual harassment, and sexual assault are a few examples of the causes of these kind of movements. Since the movement's inception in the 1800s, its priorities have grown and differ throughout different countries and groups. Priorities include opposing the glass ceiling in one nation and female genital mutilation in another country.
• The idea of feminism reflects a history of various conflicts, and as awareness has grown, the term has come to have more nuanced and meanings that are very complex. Feminism, in general, can be viewed as a movement to eradicate sexism, sexist oppression, and exploitation in order to attain complete gender equality in both law and practice.
