Explanation:

A flame is the visible, gaseous part of a fire. It is caused by a highly exothermic reaction taking place in a thin zone. Very hot flames are hot enough to have ionized gaseous components of sufficient density to be considered plasma

A burning blaze with three layers is known as flame.

It takes place where combustion takes place and combustion occurs when there is fuel, Oxygen and heat.

Three layers of flame are:

1) Innermost layer - This is generally black in colour and it takes place where there is the least combustion and the fuel is not burnt completely. This zone is least hot.

2) Middle layer - This layer is yellow or orangish in colour and it takes place there where combustion takes place but the fuel is left in the form of ash or final product. This zone have moderate heat.

3) Outermost layer - This layer is blue . In this layer combustion takes place completely ans no fuel is left as ash or final product. This is the hottest layer or zone of a flame.

The flame takes place where fuel reaches its Kindling temperature due to heat in the presence of oxygen.
