 Force is that external cause which tends to change the state of rest or the state of motion of an object.

Force is a vector quantity
The sum of two equal and opposite forces is zero.
A body acted upon by several forces has the resultant net force equal to zero.

Hope this helps you.

Akshaymas: so pushing and pulling can have directions
Akshaymas: Tq...

✴️Sir Isaac Newton was the first one to give an exact definition for force.

✴️"Force is an external agency applied on a body to change its state of rest or motion"

✴️There are four basic fundamental forces in nature;they are

(i) Gravitational Force

(ii) Electromagnetic Force

(iii) Strong nuclear Force

(iv) Weak Nuclear Force.

The SI unit of force is Joule and it is denoted by kg m^-1 s^-2.

Force = Mass × Acceleration.

It's dimensional formula is M L^-1 T ^-2.
