Answer:

                                      DEFINATION OF  FRICTION

  • the resistance to motion of one object moving relative to another is known as friction.

                                            TYPES OF FRICTION

There are 4 types of friction:-

  • Static friction
  • Sliding friction
  • Rolling friction
  • Fluid friction

→ Static friction :- The friction between two or more solid objects that are not moving relative to each other is known as static friction.

→  Sliding friction :- The friction that acts on objects when they are sliding over a surface is known as sliding friction . and it is weaker than static friction.

→ Rolling friction :- The force resisting the motion of a rolling body on a surface is known as rolling friction.

→ Fluid friction :- The force that restricts the movement either within itself or of another medium moving through the liquid is known as fluid friction.
