FUNCTIONS OF WBC ::

✳These play a major role in maintaining immunity and immune system.

✳These are also called as microscopic policemen of the body.

✳These act as scavengers by engulfing the dead ones.

✳Some of the WBC also helps in wound healing.

✳There are 6000-8000 WBC per cubic millimeter of the blood.

✳WBC are produced from the multipotent cells of bone marrow called heamopoitic stem cells.

✳The WBC are divided into two main classes.

1. AGRANULOCYTES

2. GRANULOCYTES.
