Fundamental quantities:

fundamental quantities are those that are defined directly by the process of measurement only. These quantities are independent of each other.

example: length, mass, time

Derived quantities:

the quantities which can be expressed in terms of the fundamental quantities are called derived quantities. Derived quantities are depends on the fundamental quantities.

example: volume, velocity, acceleration, pressure etc.
