Gangue is an important material where ore is found. It is a impurity which are found in minerals such impurities can be sand, soil or concrete. It is found in mines which have a ore deposit on it.

During mineral processing ores are removed from gangue which is a most important factor in mining process. Such process is very difficult and complicated.

For example- ore of lead which is galena occurs in large quantity within gangue.
