Genetic Drift is the sudden change in the frequency of genes of a specie, mostly due to accidental selection .

While geographical isolation is the situation in which the members of specie gets isolated over time by geographical barriers like mountains Rivers etc and generations over generations, their genes get changed due to reproduction and give born to new specie.

NOTE- THIS IS NOT APPLICABLE FOR assexual and self pollinating organism

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER ...

GENETIC DRIFT

Genetic drift occurs when there is a change in the genetic makeup over the generations .

This change or evolution of new species is not due to environmental or other kind of stress on indivisuals.

For example - Suppose , a garden has red and white poppies . The red poppies exchange genetic material with white poppies . Over a period of time , only red poppies are seen while the white poppies soon become rare .

GEOGRAPHICAL ISOLATION -

It is a major factor in speciation since it interrupts with gene flow . It leads to reproductive isolation due to which ultimately results in speciation.
