The Green Revolution started in 1965 with the first introduction of High Yielding Variety (HYV) seeds in Indian agriculture. They imported dwarf wheat seeds of the lerma Rojo 64 A and sonara 64 variety in 1966. Green revolution resulted in a record grain production in India.. No other country has gained so much success with this revolution....
