Guidence is a comprehensive process of listening someone's issue and provide solution to overcome the issue in preventive manner. Its basic structure is to provide best option among the rest. The servicing nature of guidence can be public or private. It basically deals in materialistic options.

Counseling is a psychological process which deals with ‘if and buts of the given options’ and it’s impact upon the person on psychological grounds. Its servicing nature is basically private and the working nature of Counseling is not preventive but ‘thought processing’. It based upon understanding the problem and analysing it's outcomes upon the person on various levels. Counseling is not result based.

Ex - Based upon your marks in one exam and your Mayer Briggs analysis what kind of career option will provide you maximum satisfaction.
