the heat change in a complete chemical reaction always remains same whether reaction complete in one oe more steps.
Example:-
C +O2 _∆H__CO2
where,
C___∆H1__CO
CO____∆H2__CO2
..according to Hesse's law
∆H =∆H1 + ∆H2
